Mid Year Outlook

Mike and I were talking yesterday about what we felt the future of our industry was here in Denver and country wide. Our hope is that by the end of '09 the picture will be much clearer. As of right now it is hard to predict what our future holds. The outlook is very muddy at this point.

Our hope is that the competition in our market place will be thinned out by years end. We both strongly agree that the work load for next year will be down from what we have seen. In order for us to gain more share, one major thing we need is for the competition pool to get MUCH smaller. I see that happening in two ways.

1. Simply less competition exists. If some companies go away we will have a larger share

2. The small time and residential construction needs to be revived. Once we are not competing with folks we do not normally compete with we should be able to carve out a better market share.

There is obliviously another way, and that is that work just shoots up and there is plenty of work for all for us. I don't see that that happening until maybe 2011 or beyond. Right now I am focusing on getting through next year.

We will see what happens....
